Office — a business's back office, from its own records.

A Records skill set is captured from a corpus. The first case is a professional's own practice, mined out of the papers they retained over a career. The Office sector is that method turned on a company: the estimates, job files, procedures and bid files a business kept become a reference that answers with named sources and refuses what the records do not support. One track runs here — Records — and nine entries are filed under O, every one Specified.

A clinic is a business too. A dental, optometry or physiotherapy practice's business records — the fee schedules and quotes, the books, the scheduling, the supplier and insurer paper, the equipment, the compliance file — file here seat by seat under the health trade code, HL. Patient charts never do.

OWhat files here

The first eight seats, and the shelf they sit on.

A family here is a seat: one part of a back office, held as a reference built from the records that part of the business kept. Eight are filed — the first eight seats of this sector — and the register is open.

The ninth entry is the shelf itself: several seats licensed under one paper make a Mosaic at family 0, each member keeping its own number, edition, count and ending. A set is a shelf, not a stew.

OFamilies and trades

The sector's own tables.

A trade is the two-letter field the business works in, so the same seat in two businesses carries two trade codes and is two numbers. Both tables are printed from the register.

Opening a seat, or adding a trade here, is a decision of the register. A code is never renamed and never reused, sequence is issued in order, and a retired number stays reserved. Written out, a number here reads O R 1 001 GN · 2 — Office, Records, the estimating seat, first in it, no particular trade, edition two — and in machine form OR1001GN26, the tenth character a computed check.

OHow a skill set is captured here

Mining first, then ratifying.

Step zero is an inventory: what the body of records is gets declared, checked against the declaration, and sealed in a dated statement Even Steven holds with the consent. Then two routes, in this order. Records mining: a converter turns that paper into a reference, every output carrying a receipt saying where it came from. Ratify: the agent drafts method statements from the same paper and the person accepts, amends or declines each one, so every ratified statement is authored and dated. Nobody is interviewed and nobody is recorded — that is the Hands track.

Capture on the Records track, five steps: a lifetime of paper records; the converter, which mines them; a receipt on every output; Ratify, where the agent drafts method statements and the person accepts, amends or declines each one; and a numbered, authored, dated reference. CAPTURE ON THE RECORDS TRACK TWO ROUTES · MINING, THEN RATIFY 01 PAPER A LIFETIME OF RECORDS WORK ORDERS, DRAWINGS, FILES 02 THE CONVERTER RECORDS MINING A BODY OF PAPER, CONVERTED 03 A RECEIPT ON EVERY OUTPUT WHERE IT CAME FROM 04 RATIFY THE AGENT DRAFTS THE PERSON ACCEPTS, AMENDS, DECLINES 05 A NUMBER AUTHORED AND DATED EACH RATIFIED STATEMENT TWO ROUTES ON THE RECORDS TRACK: MINING, THEN RATIFY AS THE SECOND INTERVIEWS STAY THE HANDS TRACK

What each seat will hold is written down. No seat is built: a seat stays Specified until its reference passes a sealed test written before the build, passed when the answers are correct and name their source.

Estimating

An estimate sheet: a band over many comparable jobs with the method shown, coded comparables, risk flags, assumptions, what is missing, its sources. It declines when it cannot price without exposing one job.

Project controls

A schedule risk review of the customer's plan, set against how comparable jobs ran. The plan and the commitments stay the customer's.

Controller

A job-cost review showing where a job's costs sit against coded benchmarks. Accounting judgement stays with the customer.

Safety & compliance

A site-specific safety plan draft, built from hazards recorded on similar work. It is no part of a safety case.

Operations

A work plan draft carrying sequence, equipment and known failure points. What is executed stays the customer's.

Records & filing

A filing structure and retention map for the customer's records. A legal retention question stays with their advisers.

Prequalification

A prequalification package draft, assembled from the customer's records and checked against what owners typically ask. What is claimed in it stays the customer's.

Fleet & maintenance

A maintenance interval plan set against fleet histories for the same equipment classes. The maker's requirements stay with the customer.

OWho collects, who owns, who licenses

One house collects in Office.

Steady Eddie and Strategic Agent require skill sets. Even Steven owns them. Tacit Tessera licenses them to OEMs and to AI.

The Source here is one of two kinds. A named person's practice: the Source is the person, named on the Card, and the name stays on it. A company's records: the Source is the company, coded and never named publicly. A seat pooled from several contributors is a Mosaic of per-contributor sets.

Strategic Agent collects every entry filed under O; it is a skill source collector, and it turns skill sources into references. Even Steven owns them, for the person or company they came from, holds the consents, and is the one house a Source signs with: Your agreement is with Even Steven. Tacit Tessera numbers each seat, licenses it, counts every serve, and answers a check on any number. So every tile here carries SA, the mark of the collecting house; the owning house does not stamp it.

OWhat a licensee gets here

Three tiers, by name.

A licensee here is an AI — a platform, an agent builder or a command centre running a seat — or an OEM: a business running the seat over its own work. Both get a numbered, sealed edition, a count of every serve, and the seal check. The tiers are Consult, Apply and Reference, and what is licensed is access and work, never the pile.

Every served passage and every work product names the Tacit Tessera number and edition it came from, so the same question can be put again years later against a pinned edition. Figures leave only as bands over many jobs. A seat is decision support: it never seals, never signs, never releases money.

Three licensing tiers on the Records track, drawn dashed because none is offered while a Tacit Tessera is Specified: Consult, an answer with citations; Apply, a work product on the licensee's own job; and Reference, a controlled set, coded under a heavier contract, returned or destroyed at term. No prices, caps or counts are shown — those stay open and unpublished. THREE TIERS ON THE RECORDS TRACK NAMES RULED · NONE OFFERED WHILE SPECIFIED CONSULT AN ANSWER WITH CITATIONS SHORT QUOTES, NOT WHOLE FILES APPLY A WORK PRODUCT ON THE LICENSEE'S JOB NOT JUST AN ANSWER REFERENCE A CONTROLLED SET, CODED UNDER A HEAVIER CONTRACT RETURNED OR DESTROYED AT TERM MORE CONTACT, LEFT TO RIGHT CONSULT AND APPLY KEEP THE RECORDS ON OUR SIDE · ONLY THE ANSWER OR WORK PRODUCT CROSSES NO PRICES, NO CAPS · DESIGNED, NOT OFFERED

A Source can withdraw. On Hands and Machine the ruled timing is: It stops for new work at once; a job already underway finishes. Here the unit is the serve, so a withdrawal takes effect at the next serve and that Source is not served again.

OThe first cases

A back office, built from its own paper.

The case this sector is drawn for is a business whose own records already answer most of what it is asked — an estimate priced the way this company prices, a schedule read against the jobs it actually ran — and which has no way to ask them. The seat proposed first is Estimating, where a company's own history is put to work most often.

A customer's own records never feed a reference unless they choose to contribute them, and a contributor's records are never used to build a model.

OWhat is not captured

The boundary, and the question inside it.

A reference carries the written-down-able kind of knowledge — the kind that would take too long to write out, and the kind a person does without knowing they do it. It does not carry the somatic kind, what the body does faster than words, nor the collective kind, which lives between people.

Inside a practice there is a second line. A professional's own method — the procedures, the specifications, the way the work is done — is one thing; files that carry a client's confidence are another, and for some professions the second cannot be licensed without every client's consent. A receipt says where a passage came from, not who wrote it, so authorship is recorded first.

OThe plate and the card

Made at issue, posted to the Source.

Every tile here has a solid form. The plate is the tile made real: two chamfers, a bevel, the scribe line, four countersunk marks, the number and the name raised, the collector's mark struck as a die, the pattern recessed, the verify address on the back. The card carries the same marks at wallet size. Both are made at issue and both go to the Source in one post. None has been made, because nothing has been issued.
