Houses · Steady Eddie
Steady Eddie — the house for machines.
Steady Eddie and Strategic Agent require skill sets. Even Steven owns them. Tacit Tessera licenses them to OEMs and to AI.
Steady Eddie is a division of Sustainable Infrastructure Group Ltd. On the register it does three things: it collects Hands skill sets with the Trainer, it requires those skill sets on machines, and it supplies its own Machine packages, licensed through Tacit Tessera like everything else in the Book. Its own removable unit, which works a machine from the operator's seat, is not described here.
The standing line
No capture session has been recorded, no operator has been signed, nothing has been metered and nobody has been paid.
STE Trainer
STE Trainer is a kit in a case, wired to nothing, with the unit out of the seat and disconnected. That is the whole of what is said about it here: nothing about what is in the case, and nothing about what moves anything.
It is how a Hands skill set is collected, which is why a Hands tile carries Steady Eddie's mark. Collecting is not owning. The person's consent, paper and pay stay with Even Steven, and Even Steven owns what is made of the skill that comes out. The Card says both, in order: Collected by, then Owned by Even Steven.
Collecting and running are two separate things and are never offered as one. A kit that takes down a way of working is not a unit that runs one. The register keeps them apart because the consents, the licence and the count all hang on which of the two is happening.
Taught or loaded, never a named person's
A Machine-track entry is a way of working taught to or loaded on a machine by Steady Eddie, not a named person's; it is chosen before the work starts, proposes, and never authorizes.
That sentence is the line between the tracks. A Hands entry runs under a person's name and is counted for that person. A Machine entry is licensed by the machine: it carries no recording and nothing identifying anybody. It is chosen before the work starts — no default, no last-used — and it does not learn in the field.
Steady Eddie makes no productivity claim, and the register makes none for it. Nothing here says a machine goes faster.
One family of machine per taught way of working
A taught way of working covers one family of machine and stops at its edge. Every Machine entry filed today sits in the Construction sector, so every number leads with C. Which family each of Steady Eddie's own machine classes belongs to is a register decision, recorded with the family names; a class that moves family is a new entry, never a renumbered one.
Written specifications, every one of them
Steady Eddie's task packages are in the Book as Machine-track entries, supplied by the house and licensed through Tacit Tessera. Each is a written specification: what the work covers, the conditions it needs, the checks before it starts, and the work it refuses. None has been run on any machine. Each one closes the same way — it proposes, and it never authorizes.

Family 9 — the general family
A Hands skill set, asked for by name
Steady Eddie requires Hands skill sets on machines. One is asked for by the person's own name, chosen before the work starts, and it runs on one family of machine and refuses work outside it. The act that clears the machine to run is the act that starts the count, and that one signed row is the clearance, the invoice and the pay.
A fleet can hold several numbers under one paper as a Mosaic, with family 0. Nothing is put together: each member keeps its own number, its own name, its own count and its own ending. A set is a shelf, not a stew.
Loaded · Taught · Hired, as design
Steady Eddie's own offer is drawn in three tiers. All three are design. None is ruled, none is on sale and none has run.
Loaded
A basic way of working carried in every unit.
Taught
The owner teaches the unit a way of working with the capture kit, and keeps it.
Hired
Steady Eddie's name for the path to a named person's way of working, asked for by that name. On the register that is the Hands track, owned by Even Steven and run under its consents.
No hours of anyone's work stand behind the Loaded tier, because none have been recorded. No tier is offered while an entry reads Specified, and every entry reads Specified.
The machine's own record, as one entry
Steady Eddie's manual set is a volume set covering how its work is done. On the register it is one Records entry in the Construction sector, under machine manuals and maintenance, and it reads Specified like every other.
It files on the Records track and not the Machine track, because it is a reference built from a body of records and not a way of working a machine can run. It states no achieved safety performance level, and it fills no open input with a plausible number: each one names the act that closes it.
It proposes. It never authorizes.
The machine side runs under four short rules: AI plans. Rules govern. Humans authorize. Safety has veto. Prepared is not installed, and installed is not authorized.
A way of working is chosen before the work starts, and it puts up what it would do. A person clears it. A person at the machine can stop it. Nothing the register does changes that order.
Where to go next
The unit, the kit and the house's own pages are Steady Eddie's: steadyeddie.ca. The numbers, the Cards and the tiles are the register's: the Tacit Tessera Book, how a licence is shaped, and how a skill set reaches work.
